A Life Off The Highway

For work and pleasure, I spent 37 years, most of them with my wife Beth, visiting every one of Indiana’s 2,230 'dots' – hamlets, villages, towns, and cities, and the land in between. Driving through towns and the farm fields and forests that connect them, sparked a curiosity to learn more about each dot. What made it become a place? Why did it prosper or wither and fade?

Every dot has a story and there’s more there than meets the eye.
