Not many people have traveled to all of Indiana’s 92 counties. Phil Anderson has. And he has done it on the back roads, going where the locals go and seeking to hear their stories. No one that I know has a bigger heart for Indiana or a better knack for uncovering the quirky secrets on Indiana’s highways and byways. A native Hoosier, Phil Anderson is a gifted story teller and loves sharing his tales from the back roads with fellow travelers.
Former Non-Profit Executive Director
Former Community &
Tourism Development Director
Phil and I have worked together in multiple capacities - agriculture, tourism, arts, community development. He is a master at bringing varied ideas and groups together to work in harmony, resulting in a fresh new way to see, visit, learn, and experience our state’s treasures. If you have an interesting idea, consider getting creative with Phil as I often sought his expertise.
I've even wandered with him in my home county and discovered places I hadn't seen before.
Mid-America Science Park
Former Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture
State of Indiana
There is not another Hoosier who has traveled to every Indiana rural crossroad who could provide this first-hand historic and cultural guidance. I have worked with Phil to advance communities, agriculture, and local economies and now you can too, personally and professionally. He is an outstanding collaborator who cares for local people, promoting Indiana's places and sharing what he learned.
Whitewater Canal Scenic Byway
Whitewater Canal Byway Association
Through the Whitewater Canal Byway Association Phil and I have worked together on several signature projects to create and support our byway and the region - driving guides, town tours, byway applications, creating the organization, and transportation history. He helped us uncover many interesting sites and stories throughout the Whitewater Valley. Take advantage of this opportunity to work with Phil.
My husband and I were so inspired by his travels to every dot in Indiana that we are now wandering Indiana ourselves.
